In five weeks: a baseline of your product list, packed dimensions and order export; stock into the floor built for it, parcel cartons to Dongguan and anything palletised to Shenzhen; the storefront connected through our WMS in a sandbox before a live order passes through; packaging and blind-shipping rules recorded per SKU; then a rhythm from week five onward where anything in before the four o'clock China cut-off despatches the same day, with accuracy at 99.5% or better counted per order line.
A published rate is one column pretending to answer a question with several variables: lane, chargeable weight basis, declared value, registration and clearance handling, destination tax treatment and season. Our channel set moves with contracts and available space, so a posted figure would be a promise about a lane that may not exist that month. Send packed dimensions, weights, order composition and a destination split and a proposal comes back fast.
Nothing is shipped back to China, because the reverse leg on a European parcel costs more than the goods. An undeliverable consignment earns a paid re-delivery inside a short window where the carrier offers one; after that it is held, returned to the sender's local agent or written off where it stands, and an unsolicited return is disposed of the same way. Our overseas stations are not return-acceptance points.
Sometimes, and the honest order of work is paperwork first: cells and batteries need a battery letter, a UN 38.3 test summary and a material safety data sheet; health goods and branded stock need the registrations and authorisations their destination requires, and those documents are issued to the manufacturer, not to a forwarder. Any such consignment ships only subject to channel confirmation for that specific lane.
Yes, as a service we book and price rather than something included by default: collection is quoted against the factory address, the weight and volume and the loading conditions, and it appears as its own line because a van, a driver's hours and a dock slot cost money. Otherwise your supplier delivers into Dongguan for parcel stock, Shenzhen for palletised or crated freight, or Suzhou for a Yangtze-delta factory.
A channel bills the greater of actual weight and dimensional weight, because an aircraft or a container sells space as well as payload, and the divisor is set by the carrier rather than by us. Minimum face sizes exist for the same mechanical reason: a carton too small to carry a readable label jams the sorting machine, so we pack it into a compliant outer instead.
The declared value is what customs assesses duty and tax against at the entry, and it is also the ceiling on any refund: compensation is based on the declared value, so a figure written low produces a refund written just as low. It should follow the actual sale, never the carton size, and it is worth deciding deliberately before a shipment rather than after one.
From the 1st of July 2026 the European Union levies a temporary flat customs charge per item on consignments valued up to 150 euros arriving from third countries, and it runs until the reformed customs framework is fully in place. On parcels we despatch it is collected with the shipment rather than at the buyer's door, and it changes per-unit economics for single-item orders.
DDP means the price you pay us covers freight, export handling, destination clearance, duty and the delivery itself, so the recipient is not handed a bill at the door and you are not the importer of record for that entry. Import VAT is a separate treatment that we state explicitly on a proposal, because a landed cost which ignores it is not a landed cost.
A parcel on our express channel reaches a German doorstep in a window we state as approximate: 4-6 working days, with standard air at 5-9 and the economy lane at 8-12; ocean stock sits nearer a month. Every figure moves with carrier space and season, and we match an order to a channel from its packed size, weight and declared value rather than letting you pick a tier from a posted table.
